On Saturday night a 15 year old boy who resides on Nevis was stabbed to death by a family member while on St. Kitts for his aunt’s wedding that took place earlier that day.
The Police confirmed that the Violent Crime Unit is investigating the incident that occurred at Janet Alley in McKnight Village that resulted in the death of one person.
According to the police report “The investigations have revealed that at about 10.00pm on Saturday (March 25), an altercation occurred between the deceased, a 15 year old male and the
assailant. “During the altercation, he was stabbed by the assailant, his brother, a 21 year old male,” the official police report stated.
The suspect, Kareem Chumney is in Police custody assisting with the investigation. He is expected to be brought before a magistrate on murder, or manslaughter charges.
During a brief interrogation of Chumney he indicated to police that his juvenile brother Ashanafi Saddler broke his (the suspect’s) fingernail and a fight ensued between them when Chumney
stabbed Saddler with a knife in his chest.” Police sources say Crime Scene Unit has the knife for processing.
This takes the murder count to 4 in 2017.
