ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – The police are reporting the death of two individuals and injury of six others following a motor vehicle collision along the Content main road in St Elizabeth, yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as nine-year-old Impressi Hughes of an Ontario, Canada address and 51-year-old Courtney Corde of Elderslie district in St Elizabeth.
Reports from police in Lacovia are that about 8:00 pm, Impressi and Corde were passengers in a Toyota Mark X and a Toyota Caldina travelling in the same direction along the roadway.
The police say on reaching a section of the roadway, both motor vehicles reportedly collided with a Mitsubishi Montero motor vehicle that was travelling in the opposite direction.
Eight people, including Impressi and Corde, were taken to hospital where the two succumbed to their injuries. The other six people were admitted in stable condition.
