Dancehall veterans Bounty Killer and Beenie Man are some of the names scheduled to bring the beat to the Appleton Estate and Digicel party stand at the Hero Caribbean Premiere League (CPL) matches slated for Sabina Park in Kingston.
The all-inclusive party stand will be offering up premium alcohol courtesy of Appleton Estate, music, performances by popular local artistes and, of course, cricket. The party stand will seek to revive its glory days as ‘The Mound’, which was known for its revelry, non-stop vibes and a safe haven for spectators who prefer the entertainment aspect of the beautiful game.
In addition to Bounty Killer and Beenie Man, the entertainment line-up includes Sanchez, as well as a musical showdown between DJ Kurt Riley and the Tivoli Marching Band. Gary Dixon, marketing director, J Wray & Nephew Ltd explained Appleton Estate’s involvement.

Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum is the proud presenting sponsor of the Jamaica Tallawahs and we wanted the home grounds for the Tallawahs to be as fun and vibrant as the people they represent. The Party Stand at Sabina Park will show the world how Jamaicans party!” he said.
Danielia McLean, sponsorship manager at Digicel, said: “The CPL is known to be the biggest party in sports and so Digicel had to ensure that it lived up to that moniker. Not only that, but the CPL is perfectly aligned with our current ‘Bring the Beat’ campaign, where we have combined two essential passions, music and sport, and use it to unite people across the region and inspire them to celebrate and support our sportsmen and sportswomen”.
The CPL will make Sabina Park its home as the Tallawahs take on Guyana Amazon Warriors (today), St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (Saturday), Trinbago Knight Riders (Monday), and finally the Barbados Tridents (Wednesday).
