Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 17, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Anti-Drug unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has seized a bale containing a large quantity of hashish. The bale was seen bobbing in the waters off Half Moon Bay by a group of swimmers on Saturday (July 16). The swimmers notified the Police.
The bale contained a number compressed packages. This is the first seizure of this quantity of hashish for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. Hashish or “hash” is a very potent extracted product of the cannabis plant.
Commissioner Mr. Ian M. Queeley has expressed appreciation to the individuals who contacted the Police. Commissioner Queeley said, “it is this type of cooperation and partnership that will help to reduce crime in our federation.” He urged citizens and residents, to “report any criminal activity they may be aware of.”
