On Tuesdays’ edition of Issues, Team Unity activist Terry Adams responded to a question on the performance of the TUG since taking office in February 2015.
At Tuesdays TUG Town Hall Meeting in St. Peters, Prime Minister the Hon Timothy Harris lauded the achievements of his government indicating that some 47 promises of over 280 made to the electorate had been fulfilled in 18 months.
But on Freedom Fm on Thursday, Adams said the programs and projects that the TUG are taking credit for, were left in place by the Labour government.
“For example TUG did not go into office with a budget, but used the one left by the Douglas administration, I am not saying there’s anything wrong with it… if you look at what’s happening… construction is down under the TUG and you wonder why the TUG has to continue with the PEP even though the PM says they nar wuk and they got to go…. It’s all political rhetoric”, says Adam.
“My answer to you is very simple… I am going to be honest with you, what the TUG is taking credit for what was left there by Labour.
I have not seen one single development that is taking place that has been initiated by the TUG”, Terry Adams asserted. Writing on his face book page, former ZBC chairman and PLP Chairman Douglas Wattley declared that the 47 promises said to be fulfilled by the TUG, were blown out of proportion and repetitive. Wattley challenged the TUG to pursue the people’s agenda and fulfill the promise of $500 made to lower income families.
