Chinese Village Supermarket Robbed By Gunmen

Police-1Police are investigation a report of Robbery that occurred on Saturday September 10 at about 7.20pm at the Daily Food Supermarket located at St. Johnson Village owned by Chinese.

Investigations revealed that while the supermarket was opened for business, two masked gunmen entered and robbed the business of an undisclosed sum of money. No one was injured in the incident, and the investigation continues.

Meanwhile the Police are also investigating a Robbery of three persons in the Frigate Bay area. The victims told the police that they got to their apartment at about 9.10pm and as they exited the vehicle two men dressed in all black one with a gun and one with a knife robbed them of their cell phones and keys.

Police continue to conduct vehicle checkpoints, stop and searches, and searches of abandoned lots and properties. These are being done in efforts to rid our communities of illegal firearms, ammunition, drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes. A number of search warrants were executed on properties on Sandown Road, Phillips’ Village and Tabernacle this past week.
