The Leeward Islands Hurricanes resumed their innings from an overnight position of 36 for three with Devon Thomas and Akeem Saunders looking good in the first hour as the Red Force captain Denesh Ramdin opted to bowl his fast-bowlers.

In overcast conditions at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Saunders took on Tion Webster, hitting the right-arm pacer for a couple of boundaries, taking the score to 81 for three when rain intervened.
The 30-minute delay was just what T&T needed, with Khary Pierre taking a brilliant diving catch at cover off Anderson Phillip to send back Thomas for 13.

And just like he did late on the first day of the contest, Imran Khan came up trumps again, this time bowling Saunders for 49 just minutes away from the luncheon interval.

Jahmar Hamilton and Jeremiah Louis then took the visitors to the break without further damage at 117 for five.
