Remains of an infant, believed to be that of a missing 13-day-old boy, were found in the Bayford’s Mountain on Sunday. The public was alerted earlier that day that Prince Shabba Henry of Stapleton Village left home just after midnight on 23 November 2014 while experiencing a mental health episode. Shabba or Nkozi as he is called, left the house with his one week old infant and has not been heard from since.
Commissioner if Police while assisting in the search, again appealed to the general public for information. He indicated that Henry experienced an episode on Saturday night and that the police did not suspect any criminal intent.
A press release from the police Sunday evening however said the police, Ross University Island Constables K-9 Division, and the St. Kitts Nevis Defense Force conducted a massive search Police searched Bayford’s Mountain and the surrounding areas before locating Prince Yahweh Henry who was not in possession of the missing infant. Prince Henry admitted to leaving the child in the hills and took the police to the location. The remains of the infant believed to be the missing, were found on the scene. Prince Yahweh Henry is now in police custody assisting with the investigation. Commissioner of police CG Walwyn thanked members of the Stapleton Community for the assistance given to the security forces during the search.
