The West Indies cricket team are set to play Bangladesh this weekend under the “stars” at the Central Broward Regional Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
The two sides will face off in the second and third T-20 match up on Saturday and Sunday August 4 and 5, respectively, at 8 p.m. nightly.
The matches are sure to attract a large Caribbean Diaspora showing given the cricket-loving West Indies community in South Florida.
This weekend’s matches close the Bangladesh tour of the West Indies and United States, which included two Test matches and three ODI’s. The Windies won the Test series 2-0 but Bangladesh turned the tables by winning the ODI series 2-1.
The first match in the T20 series was played in Basseterre, St. Kitts on July 31st. The West Indies won the rain-affected contest on the Duckworth/Lewis system after Bangladesh posted 143 for nine off their allotment.
The Central Broward Regional Stadium is the only cricket facility in the United States sanctioned by the International Cricket Council.
