Former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight was shot six times while leaving a pre-VMA party at 1OAK in West Hollywood.
The party, hosted by Chris Brown, let out around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning after shots were fired inside the nightclub.
Knight walked out on his own when a cop found him and took him to an ambulance. Witnesses say he was shot in his stomach and arm.
Details are thin at time of publishing, but Tyson Beckford, Robert Ri’chard and Apple de Ap all tell TMZ they heard up to four shots fired in the club. Knight’s family tells TMZ he was shot six times.
Knight is currently in the ICU after undergoing surgery early Sunday morning. His family expects him to make a full recovery.
There are no leads as to who opened fire at the party.
More drama began at 1OAK when The Game tried to get inside the party, but was denied entry at the door. He allegedly got upset and got into an altercation with security guards.
