Almost 350 Persons Registered to Vote in January, February

The most recent data coming out of the Electoral Office shows that almost 350 persons across St. Kitts and Nevis registered to vote in the first two months of 2019.

In January, Constituency 8 had the highest number of new registrants with 26, followed by Constituency 1 with 24, while Constituencies 10 and 11 recorded the lowest number of registrants with 8 each.

St. Kitts had 162 persons registering across 8 constituencies in January and Nevis had 34 across three federal voting districts for a total of 196 new registrants, more than double the number recorded in January 2018 when just 93 persons registered across all 11 constituencies.

In February Constituency 8 once again recorded the highest number of registrants with 29, and Constituency 1 again had the second highest with 26. On the lower end of the spectrum, Constituency 4 had 6 registrants while Nevis 10 had none. A total of 153 persons registered to vote in February,compared to 65 in February 2018..

The Electoral Office explained to Freedom FM that data on registrations are not the revised figures as they have not yet been subjected to objections.
