The body of the late Alfred Phipps’ being removed from the area where it was discovered

Alfred Basil Phipps of Saddlers was reported missing on 17th January 2015. He was last seen on 15th January 2015 at around 7:00 am. In efforts to assist family members in locating their missing relative, a Missing Person Poster was distributed to Media House on 18th January 2015 to aware and seek assistance from the general public and also a search was conducted by the Dieppe Bay Police Station. The search started at 11:00am and the search team comprised of Officers from Fire and Rescue Department, relatives of the missing person and concerned community members.

During the search, a partly decomposed body was found at White Gate, approximately 50 – 60 feet away from the Island Main Road. The body was identified by a family member to be Alfred Basil Phipps. The district medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced him dead. The body is presently in custody, pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The Dieppe Bay Police Station, on behalf of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force would like to extend their condolences to Phipps family for their loss and also would like to thank all those who participated in the search in efforts to find Mr Alfred Basil Phipps.
