CASTRIES, St. Lucia, Apr 6, CMC – St. Lucia recorded its first homicide for this year when two people, including a homeless man, were shot and killed over the weekend.
Police said that the homeless person, identified only by the name “Toni” was killed in a depressed section of the city after apparently being hit by a stray bullet fired by a man whom eyewitnesses said was in hot pursuit of another male.
In that incident, another person identified as Brent Frederick sustained a gunshot wound in the mouth and is now hospitalised in a stable condition.
Police said they were also searching for those responsible for shooting Oran Charles 28, better known as “Wong” who was shot several times in what is believed to have been gang related activities.
