St. Kitts-Nevis Calypso legend and musical ambassador Elston King Ellie Matt Nero, called into Freedom Fm’s JLE on Saturday, to express himself on a few issues.
The former national calypso monarch and leader of the former Caribbean hit making band Ellie Matt & GI’s Brass called on the Team Unity Government to deliver on promises made to him during the 2015 national elections campaign: matt declared that he was promised a fully furnished house and free medical attention.
He indicated on Saturday that he had delivered on what he was asked to do and as his health continued to be home for Christmas so he could better address his health and other areas.
Ellie Matt said the government kept pushing back the date for him to come home.
With relation to his health Matt said he was told that he could get the dialysis treatment in St. Kitts and that the doctors in St. Kitts were just as good as those in the United States.
On Carnival 2015, the veteran entertainer said he was looking forward to conducting workshops on how to write and put music to songs.
He noted that the standard of calypso in Nevis was much higher than that in St. Kitts in recent years.
He joked that he was looking forward to beating King Konris, and contendor and Director in the calypso bull ring.
