KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s sprint sensation Usain Bolt brutally ended two-time doping offender Justin Gatlin’s attempt to controversially usurp him as the king of sprinting when he blazed to the 200 metres world title at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China a short while ago.
The world’s fastest man clocked a time of 19.55 seconds to retain his world title, beating Gatlin into second in 19.74s.
Anaso Jobodwana (19.87s) ran a South African National Record to claim the bronze medal.
Jamaica’s other finalist Nickel Ashmeade finished down the field in eighth, clocking 20.33s.
