Sandy Point, St. Kitts– March 26 2015 –DANCE | TASTE | SEE – This weekend, BLACK SAN’ Bang-A-Lang will once again contribute to the overall promotion of the country’s tourism product as organizers invite everyone to experience firsthand a cultural fete at Belle Tête!
An exciting opening weekend is on deck to kick off this year’s 5Star Fete including three fan favorites. The panoply of Festival events will include evening and daytime activities, free outdoor performances and street events, family events, outreach events, and much more.
To jumpstart the weekend, the Festival invites everyone to join us at PROPER FIXUP located at Mount Idle (close to B’s Supermarket) on FRIDAY, MARCH 27th for a unique open air club like atmosphere. Headlining this event will be the Nu Vybes Band International, DJ Yardy of Energetic International and Bil A Vibes Sound. Gate opens at 9PM with a cover charge of just EC$20. Celebrate with us!
The streets of Sandy Point will come alive on Saturday March 28th with Tractors pulling carts displaying animals & farm produce, along with revelers creatively dressed in farm wear in promotion of the buying and eating of local produce in an event aptly dubbed TRACTORCADE. Organizers continue to praise local insurance carriers Delisle Walwyn & Co. Ltd for its continued support of this event and in keeping with the festival’s tradition of showcasing locally made products at its events, ‘Jiggy Wine’ has been named the official drink of TRACTORCADE 2015. Join us at 3pm in your wacky farm costumes as we celebrate our farmers in grand style!
On Sunday March 29th the LIME Ms BLACK SAN’ Swimsuit Pageant will add dazzle and fashion to an already impressive slate of opening week activities as five lovely ladies take to the catwalk to impress the hundreds of fashionistas expected to be in attendance. With an improved production coupled with a host of top local and regional fashion designers that are working behind the scenes with each contestant, the committee anticipates a catalogue of jaw-dropping designs guaranteeing the satisfaction of all patrons. If that’s not enough, Trinidadian soca sensation ‘JOJO’ has been named as the event’s special guest performer, plus the reigning Miss World Guyana Rafieya Hussain is already on island ‘set and ready’ to host what is destined to be a wonderful event. Gates open at 7pm with a cover charge of just EC$40.
