The film tracks the life of sprint superstar Usain Bolt, winner of nine Olympic gold medals and world record holder for the 100 and 200 metres. It is set to premiere in London and Kingston next month, followed by a feature film to be available on Television On Demand and DVD.
The music of Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul, Damian Marley, R Kelly, Nas, Desmond Dekker, Beenie Man and Major Lazer are featured on the soundtrack.
According to a highly placed source who requested anonymity, the soundtrack will be released by Island Records.

I Am Bolt is produced by Fulwell 73, with the executive producer being the Doyen Group.
In an interview with Britain’s
Guardian newspaper, Bolt said, “I’m excited to start work on this project. When I met Gabe and Ben and heard about their previous work, I felt they would be the right people to tell my story and capture my journey to Rio 2016. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Bolt is a big fan of dancehall music and an active ‘clubber’. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, he performed popular dancehall moves after his three victories.
He frequents popular weekly dances in Jamaica and is a regular at top clubs whenever he competes in Europe.
