The young and versatile Delly Ranks captured the soca monarchy in Nevis Thursday night winning in both the groovy and power categories.
His winning song for the groovy was “Wuk It” while “Pan Jam” did it for Delly in the power.
This was the second year in a row he has won both categories of soca.
In 2016 Delly won a triple winning the two soca crowns and the road march, a feat Delly told Freedom Fm he intends to repeat, looking to the “Formula” to clinch the 2017 road march title.
A jubilant Delly Ranks told freedom Fm he has his sight set on capturing the soca monarch title on the big stage in Trinidad then competing and winning the soca titles in St Kitts-Nevis National Carnival in December.
Meanwhile, Freedom Fm caught up with a busy Culturama Chairman Antonio Liburd who told our Newsdesk about upcoming Culturama events including Calypso, Queen Show, Jouvert, Parade and Last Lap.
