Two internal charges of discreditable conduct have been filed against the suspended top cop, Wendel Robinson.
He was reportedly served with those charges yesterday, according to police sources who added that the charges were filed by Special Constable, Senior Superintendent William Nurse.
Sources say that since the officer behind the charge is not a member of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda and is of a lower rank than the embattled commissioner of police, questions are being raised as to the validity of the said charges.
The charges follow a month-long investigation by a team invited here by the Police Service Commission.
Robinson was suspended in April this year after several of his male subordinates reported he sexually harassed them.
He sued the Police Service Commission over his suspension, claiming it was unlawful and unfair, and the matter is currently pending in the High Court after a hearing last week.
