The first batch of workers who turned up for a Job fair at the Golden Rock Commercial Park, have been employed.
Mr. Scott Caines said 30 persons who attended the one day job fair on Saturday 10th January have been employed and others will join the local workforce as the construction of the project progresses.
“We are targeting a workforce of 90 persons. The job fair however identified a shortage of carpenters and masons,” said Caines. The job fair sought carpenters, masons, labourers, driver/messenger, steel Benders and site administrative assistant.
The proposed US$76 million when fully completed will include a boutique hotel, supermarket, restaurant and bar, amphitheater and meeting rooms.
The 250,000 square foot project is designed to fit in an aesthetically-pleasing environment and will consist of five multi-story buildings.
