Former Premier of Nevis Joseph Parry in a recent interview on Freedom Fm says the recent upsurge in crime calls for a national approach in order to resolve crime.
Parry said in reference to the 6 point plan, the government, private sector and all stakeholders should come together now to deal effectively with the scourge of crime.
Parry called for increased resources for the police and security forces to fight crime, because crime will not be solved in a year or two; it is a generational thing said the NRP leader.
The NRP leader questioned the extent of the FBI involvement in solving gun related crimes and called for a systematic overhaul and upgrade of crime fighting resources and personnel.
