Honorable Konris Maynard, SKNLP elected rep for constituency number three has issued a stern warning to the new government of National Unity led by Dr. Timothy Harris.
Maynard said on Freedom FM Issues on Wednesday that he will closely monitor the government to ensure that election promises are kept.
He chastised the government on missing an opportunity to unite the country. Maynard said that in his mind he is clear that the new government has been victimizing supporters of the SKNLP and he will not remain silent on that or any other issue.
SKNLP spring time candidate Dr. Terrence Drew has disclosed that the changes in the boundaries had a negative impact on his campaign. He indicated that after Justice Marlene Carter discharged an injunction on the January 16th proclamation that affected boundary changes in the federation; Cayon was no longer a part of constituency number 8. Dr. Drew feels that he lost momentum in Cayon during that time and that he feels contributed to his lost.
Dr. Drew however maintains that he stands by the Former Prime Minister’s decision to change the constituency boundaries. Dr. Drew revealed that he is proud of the work that he had done in the constituency.
When asked what’s next Dr. Drew said that he will continue to be of service to his country.
