Rio, Brazil (August 8th 2016):- Well Known Track and Field Announcer, Journalist and Meet organizer Alfonz Juck is reporting that the Legendary Caribbean Sprinter Kim Collins will arrive in Rio on Wednesday. Juck tweeted the good news on Monday morning.
The EME News Editor tweeted “ The legendary Kim Collins arrives to Rio on Wednesday he is ok.” The tweet comes days after Collins had tweeted that he had missed his flight to Rio and was seemingly encountering difficulties in getting a new flight.
Collins was expected to join his Team SKN on Sunday but he missed the flight. He is now expected on Wednesday in time for the weekend Sprints opening rounds. Kim is one of the most popular athletes expected at the Rio Olympics.
His appearance at the Olympics will be historic being the Oldest Sprinter at the games and also being the first Male sprinter to participate in 5 Olympic Games.
Collins is the fastest man in history over the age of 35 and the fastest 40 year old ever. He is the only athlete from his country to ever run under 10 seconds and at 40 remains the fastest athlete on the Team St.Kitts-Nevis which also includes Antoine Adams, Jason Rogers, Lestrad Roland and Allister Clarke along with the lone female Tameka Williams.
Collins will take part in the 100m and the 4x 100m relay.
