Teachers, students and administrative staff assembled on Friday morning at the Bronte-Welsh Primary School for the annual Independence School Program. The students from Kindergarten to Grade 2 performed songs, poems and other activities to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of St. Kitts-Nevis Independence.
Principal Jeffers in his opening remarks encouraged the students to work hard and asked questions relevant to independence, distributing pens/pencils to the lucky winners.
The feature address was delivered by Freedom Fm’s CEO/Founder Juni Liburd, who reminded them that they can achieve in life whatever they desired, by being confident and believing in themselves. Liburd briefly traced the growth of St. Kitts-Nevis from a colony to independence showing at each stage of our evolution; it was unified decision-making and growth in all sectors that has made the Federation the success that it is today.
He reminded that no matter the circumstance in life, they too can help in nation building and the achievement of their personal goals.
