LIME is introducing a new ‘look and feel’ to how users of its @sisterisles.com email domain access their digital messages.
As of July 13, 2014, subscribers will be served by LIME through Zimbra – one of the world’s fastest-growing Webmail service providers with over 500 million customers. Zimbra will offer @sisterisles.com users a feature-rich e-mail experience which allows collaboration with personal calendars and address lists.
The change comes shortly after the company’s current Hosted Email service provider, Google, advised it will discontinue the Gmail product being used by Internet Service Providers like LIME. This means that LIME must transition its email users from the Gmail platform to another webmail service.
According to LIME St. Kitts & Nevis Ltd. Marketing & Corporate Communications Manager, Kevin Edwards. “We chose Zimbra because of its powerful data storage capabilities, vast range of user options and proven security features that are the right fit, for even our most discerning email subscribers”.
LIME is making it easy for users to transfer existing mail to their new mailboxes. All emails will be moved to the new Webmail mailbox along with contacts, forwarders, and folders to the new system. However, customers will be required to export their information from Google Drive using the simple Take Out tool.
Users of popular email software including Outlook and Mac Mail will receive fresh instructions about how to configure the new mailbox to work well with these programs. This will be part of a series of direct messages to enable a smooth transition.
With the unveiling of this new way to access email, LIME has introduced more innovation to how the company delivers on its promise improve the service experience of customers throughout the Caribbean.
