ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Police were on Sunday quick in apprehending the attacker of a teen girl who was chopped to death along Washington Boulevard in St Andrew.
It has been reported that the teen was running along the roadway about 6:00 pm when she tripped and fell.
A man, armed with a machete later attacked her, chopping her multiple times in the head and upper body, eyewitnesses reported to the police.
The lawmen were alerted and the teen taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her alleged attacker is currently in police custody.
Meanwhile, the lawmen are yet to identify the victim and are seeking the public’s assistance.
She is of brown complexion, slim build, about 170 centimetres (5 feet 5 inches) long and is believed to be about 17-years-old. She was clad in a yellow blouse and a multi-coloured shorts.
