Police are investigating a shooting incident in Bird Rock that has left one man hospitalised.
According to Public Relations Officer for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector Lyndon David, just after midnight on Thursday, the victim was in a vehicle when he was attacked by an unknown gunman.
The police have not released the name of the victim as the investigation is still ongoing.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
In other police news, officers have taken two persons into custody, this week, after a gun and ammunition were found in a stop and search procedure.
According to reports, on Tuesday, officers of the Delta Unit were on patrol when they observed two persons riding ATV’s and acting in a suspicious manner.
