At a lively panel discussion to highlight African Liberation Day in the federation of SKN a panel comprised of representatives from the Nyabinghi Theocracy Order Ras Iran and Ras Chad along with social commentator Sylvene Henry, educator Glenroy Blanchette and community activist Earl Clark, presented black history facts designed to heighten awareness and empowerment of the black man.
Sylvene Henry stressed that having a black identity is important as we are all of African origin, in spite of where we were born.
Ras Iran believes that African Liberation must be an ongoing educational process starting with the youth.
Glenroy Blanchette` defined African Liberation in the context of our history and ensuing struggles.
The discussion took place on Freedom Fm’s Issues last Friday.
