Former Premier of Nevis, Hon Joseph Parry has once again called on the Premier of Nevis Hon Vance Amory to resign. Expressing outrage in regard to what he feels is the mismanagement of the financial systems in Nevis, the NRP Leader told Freedom Fm listener to Good Morning St Kitts and Nevis that the country does not need another statement from the premier on actions that Parry described as irresponsible and reckless.
This call in the wake of more allegations of irregular transactions made by the NIA. Parry is of the view that the financial sector in Nevis is under treat at this time. Parry alleged that a cheque for the purpose of buying computer hard ware for the Port had entered the island in the name of Mr David Hendrickson, Head of Security at the Air and Sea port Authority. Parry charged that the money had been returned to Iraq with no computer parts having been bought. He said that the evidence is indicative of money laundering.
Parry further explained that recently a cheque for the sum of $400 000 made out to the same individual has been honoured by the Government Treasury.
