Timothy harris-1Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr the Honourable Timothy Harris declared his week-long visit to the United Arab Emirates a success.

Speaking at a second international citizenship conference, organized by Savory and Partners, Dr Harris emphasized that “St. Kitts and Nevis intends to protect its brand and the Citizenship by Investment Programme.”

Prime Minister Harris insisted that “the Programme’s success is important not only to the many international applicants eager to expand their business opportunities and benefit from the St. Kitts and Nevis lifestyle choices, but also for the average individual in St. Kitts and Nevis who benefits from the trickle-down effect.”

In addition to CBI promotion, informing the public of the recalibration of the Programme which has taken place and had been bolstered by a series of substantive reforms over the last twelve months, the Prime Minister and his delegation held several important and high level meetings with government officials from across the Middle East as well as with business entities.

Prime Minister Harris, whose Government is quite eager to deepen the country’s diplomatic footprint and build new partnerships across the Middle East, was pleased with discussions with representatives from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

“I am extremely pleased with this visit. I was delighted with the response to our visit and the keen interest in our programme and in the many opportunities that currently exist in St. Kitts and Nevis. For the last several months, my government has been committed to our pledge to work for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, to fulfilling our people-empowerment agenda and to upholding the principles of good governance.”

Prime Minister Harris was accompanied by his Attorney General, the Honourable Vincent Byron and Cabinet Secretary, Mrs Josephine Huggins.
