The Criminal Investigations Department of Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a robbery that occurred early Monday morning (January 4) at the Ma Pau Casino in Basseterre.
Investigations to date have revealed that three (3) men wearing mask entered the property shortly after 7.00 am yesterday morning and robbed the establishment of a large sum of cash. The assailants then fled the scene.
Investigators from the CID and technicians from the Forensic Services Unit have processed the scene
Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Criminal Investigations, Mr Ian Queeley said that the entire community should frown on criminal behavior and appeal to the public that if they were in the vicinity of the Ma Pau Casino around 7.00 am and may have seen any unusual activity to please contact the Police, “what you may have seen, may be of help to this investigation”, he said.
Speaking to Freedom Fm on Wednesday morning ACP Queeley stated that investigations were ongoing and referring to the press release said that was all he was prepared to say for now.
