NEW YORK, United States, Tuesday December 13, 2016 – It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it. That’s what the expression on Rihanna’s face seemed to convey as she rocked a janitor’s uniform and pushed an industrial-size bin across the lobby of a busy public building in New York last week.
Images of Barbados’ pop princess chowing down on hot dogs in a diner also made the rounds in the international press. Again pictured in her heavy duty cleaning gear, the Work singer sported a name badge reading “Angela”, earphones, and a very determined look on her face.
Far from being down on her luck, however, the Grammy award-winner was demonstrating yet another side of her multi-faceted talent – this time as an actress in a major Hollywood motion picture.
The 28-year-old star is thick in the action of shooting the all-girl reboot of the Ocean’s 11 franchise alongside seasoned actresses Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson and Mindy Kaling, as well as Damien Lewis who plays the bad guy.
The movie is slated for release in 2018, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and although the plot has been kept under wraps, it is said that it will see the girl gang pulling off a heist at the Met Gala in New York.
Previous incarnations of the Ocean’s series have been set in Las Vegas and across Europe.
The original Ocean’s 11 movie was made in 1960 and saw Frank Sinatra in the title role of Danny Ocean, backed by co-stars from his famous Rat Pack including Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop.
