CALIFORNIA, United States, Monday February 23, 2015 – Barbados’ pop princess Rihanna celebrated her 27th birthday with a celebrity packed party on Friday, reportedly courtesy of Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio with whom she has been romantically linked for the past few weeks by several Hollywood sources.
According to USWeekly, Di Caprio “helped throw the shindig at a private home in Beverly Hills that went past 4am.”
There was nevertheless no word on whether the Wolf of Wall Street actor was present at the birthday bash that he reportedly helped plan, but he was seen out on the town at several other star-studded events.
The 40-year-old actor was snapped with Oprah Winfrey at a Netflix party to celebrate the Academy Award nomination for the documentary Virunga, moving on to the WME pre-Oscars bash where he was seen hanging out with fellow celebs including Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell, Gigi Hadid, Sylvester Stallone and Tobey Maguire.
Meanwhile, gossip site HollyScoop has claimed that the Unapologetic girl and DiCaprio are not an item, and she is actually dating Richie Akiva whom she reportedly met while vacationing in St Bart’s over the New Year’s holiday.
Akiva was certainly in attendance at Rihanna’s star-studded shindig, during which the FourFiveSeconds songbird was treated to a roomful of good friends, balloons that spelled out her name, and a three-tier birthday cake complete with a large Hello Kitty topper.
Other members of the award-winning singer’s A-list inner circle present for the occasion included Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, Russell Simmons, supermodel Naomi Campbell, Angela Martini and Tommy Chiabra, as well as Beyonce and Jay Z, UsWeekly reported.
Rumoured romantic interest Akiva showered Rihanna with attention on his Instagram account on her birthday calling her a “gift from god.”
“Happy Birthday! #badass #sweethearted #talented #giftfromgod #feb20,” the 10AK club boss captioned a photo of them together.
He also Instagrammed a snap of the two of them with Dave Chapelle and Naomi Campbell from what appeared to be the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary after-party.
