Basseterre, St.Kitts (December 27th 2015):- 15 Year Old Rikki Blake-Brookes is set to represent the host country St.Kitts of this years Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant.
Miss Blake-Brookes is described as a “champion of all things creative.” The young talent will no doubt need every ounce of her creativity to once again put the host country St.Kitts at the pinnacle of this Caribbeam marquis event. St.Kitts has won the title more than any other country in the region.
At the core of Blake-Brookes artistic passions is dance – a skill she harnessed since she was a toddler, and has now grown through practice as a dedicated student to be the youngest dance tutor at LEAP, one of St.Kitts’ most prominent dance organizations. Rikki has also been recognized for her achievements in this field, as a recent recipient of a National ‘Most Remarkable Teen’ Award (2015).
She naturally couples her profound adoration for dance with a great love for music as a Grade 5 pianist and a budding singer. It’s no surprise therefore, that while she takes on 10 subjects at school this year, that her favorite of all is Theatre Arts!
As she studies, Rikki equally applies a standard of excellence to her academic life. She is currently on the Honour Roll at The Basseterre High School. Applying her knowledge, skills and talents even further, she currently serves as Vice President of the Prom Committee and is a former Vice President of the Student Council.
With such an avid and well-rounded approach to her own growth and the development of others, Rikki has a very bright future ahead as an aspiring lawyer. Her personal motto, “Believe you can achieve” remains with her always as she keeps faith and focus to continue to blossom from strength to strength.
Brookes is the niece of Late St.Kitts Music Legend Jeffrey ‘Miles’ Brookes.
The 36th Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant takes place at the Sugar Mill on St.Kitts on Tuesday 29th December at 8pm.
