The Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine continues to partner with the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis in improving the safety and security of residents and visitors to the country.
Recently, Veron Lake, the Regional Security Projects Manager for Devry Medical International, revealed the infrastructural work that his institution and Ross University are pursuing.
He said, “We’re going to be lighting that stretch of road from the nursing school right down to West Farm. We’ve done all the work. We’re going to be putting in a foot path for the safety of citizens of the area who use that particular stretch of road. We’re going to be supporting the green island initiative; that is something that we’ve partnered with the Ministry of Energy, that’s the green island initiative. We’re going to be using LED lights…it will have two effects one, it will improve the safety of the area but two, without costing the government significant burden in terms of money…because it’s energy efficient.”
The foot path and road lighting will be done between the nursing school in West Basseterre to West Farm.
