Teen Wanted For The Same Murder For A Second Time

August 22, 2019 in National

Police issued a wanted bulletin for a teenager on Wednesday morning for the offences for murder and attempted murder, the same crimes he had been charged with two years prior.

Police informed that multiple warrants exist for the arrest of 19 year-old T’quan Murray of Fig Tree for one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder committed on June 06, 2017 in St. Paul’s. Anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 465-1887, the nearest police station or the Crime Hotline at 707.

In 2017 when Murray was only 17 years old, he had been arrested and charged for those same offences in connection to a broad daylight shooting incident in Rawlins Village, St. Pauls that left 32-year-old Jahma Francis dead and two young men from Willetts Estate injured.

Freedom FM inquired why the young man was being charged for the same shooting yet again and a source briefed on the matter revealed that the initial charges had at some point been withdrawn.
