The product and development manager of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority Melnecia Marshall told a Freedom Fm issues audience recently that the vision of the Tourism Authority is for the development of cruise tourism sector.
She indicated that the number one aim is to ensure sustainable development for our nationals, and equal opportunity to earn a living while achieving the status of a marquee port at Port Zante and able to receive 1 million visitors on any given year.
Marshall further indicated that in order to attain marquee status, employees within the sector would have to add value to the the experience by doing their best.
A series of training workshops was put on by the Ministry of Tourism from July to October 2016, to train front line employees including taxi operators, airport security, craft vendors, primate petting vendors to ensure uniformity across the board. Insert here.
