PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (Trinidad Express) – Members of the Kamla Persad-Bissessar-led Government are to be interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding monies spent by former cabinet minister Jack Warner in his capacity of FIFA vice-president.
This as the US Justice Department continues its investigation into allegations of money laundering by several high profile FIFA officials, among them Warner.
Questions sent to the Department of Justice in New York on May 28, seeking responses regarding the impending interviews and investigations into FIFA monies funding the People’s Partnership, resulted in press officer Nellin McIntosh at the Department of Justice saying they would not comment on ongoing investigations.
“We looked into your questions, but unfortunately, our office will not comment on them at this time,” McIntosh said.
