Water consumers living in the high elevations at St Peters are experiencing low pressure and some are without water due to silting of the Greenhill Intake and associated problems along the transmission mains after the passage of Tropical Wave Invest 99L.
This impeded the flow of water to the Ogees Storage Reservoir that supply these customers.Water Department staff commenced work yesterday at the Greenhill Intake and along the pipeline and continued into today, water is now flowing into the storage reservoir, it will however take some time before the water level is high enough to return service to all those who are affected. Most customers should have their service returned late this evening.
The Water Services Department apologises for any inconvenience this interruption in service may cause and thank the persons affected for their understanding in this matter
